Melai Cantiveros gets to host new show with crush Jericho Rosales

MELAI CANTIVEROS is one of the busiest Kapamilya stars. Aside from her launching film, “The Adventures of Pureza”, she’s seen in the noontime show “Happy Yipe Yehey” and will also be seen every afternoon as co-host of Jericho Rosales and Iya Villania in the new reality show, “I Dare You”, the first time that ABS-CBN News teams up with the TV entertainment group. Celebrity contestants will face a series of tough challenges and their winnings will go to ordinary poor Pinoys called Bidang Kapamilya like vendors, laborers, farmers, disabled people, teachers in remote areas and other worthy recipients.
“The show instills good values in the viewer and also the celebrities who are made to enter the everyday world of the Bidang Kapamilya to understand their way of life,” says Echo. “It’ll deglamorize them but it’ll be an enriching experience. In our first episode, Alex de Rossi and Gab Valenciano join me as I go back to my roots in Marikina and sell fish in a wet market.”

Melai is so excited to work with Echo who’s been her ultímate crush even before she won in PBB. Will she junk BF Jason Francisco if Echo would court her? “Naku, di naman ako papatulan ni Echo, no? At saka love ko si Jason, kahit ganun yun.” What can she say that her “Pureza” movie opens on Wednesday directly against the new Harry Potter movie? “Sa’kin okay lang. Pero dinig ko, ninenerbyos na raw si Daniel Radcliffe kasi ako makakabangga niya. Comedy kami, mas maraming taong gustong tumawa, di ba? Invite ko na lang siya sumali sa ‘I Dare You’. Joke!”
