Oyo Boy inspired to work

OYO SOTTO is excited with his action role in TV5’s “Bangis” that airs starting Monday after “Babaeng Hampaslupa”. As Leon, he plays a hunter of wild animals, somewhat like Indiana Jones. He obviously worked out a lot so he’s now more buff and ready to do his own fight scenes and stunts. He also sports a moustache and goatee to make himself look more rugged and mature for the role. “This is my first daily TV series kasi yung ‘Midnight DJ’ ko, which ran for three years, once a week lang,” he says. “I’m really thankful to TV5 for trusting in me and giving me this big action-adventure project based on the novel of Direk Carlo J. Caparas.”

He’s paired with Danita Paner and they’re supported by Felix Roco, Katherine Luna, Wendy Valdez, Rodjun Cruz, Yul Servo, Miriam Quiambao, Bayani Agbayani, Marissa Sanchez, CJ Caparas, Jazz Ocampo, Mavi Lozano, Danny Javier, and Tessie Tomas, directed by Topel Lee and Robert Quebral.

How does it feel now that his wife Kristine Hermosa is preggy? “I’m so inspired to work kasi excited na ko maging daddy. Nagkaroon ng konkretong direction ang buhay ko at each time I get my pay, I think of my family. Kristine is due to deliver our baby around January 15. Nakakatuwa kasi ako, January 12 ang birthday ko. Malay natin, magmadali ang baby para sabay kami ng birthday. My ultimate goal is to buy our own house and lot kaya lalo akong sinisipag magtrabaho.”
