WENDELL RAMOS is pleased that right after “Babaeng Hampaslupa”, he’s now in its replacement, “The Sisters”. “I play a psychiatrist who helps Nadine Samonte when one of the sisters, Bella, loses her sanity dahil nabaliw sa pag-ibig,” he says. “Mabait ako rito, unlike sa ‘Babaeng Hampaslupa’ na hired killer ako. I’m really thankful sa TV5 dahil hindi ako nababakante kaya naman mas gaganahan akong pagbutihin ang trabaho.”
Was he surprised when Nadine also moved from GMA-7 to TV5? “Nagkasama na kami noon sa GMA at magaling siyang artista kaya hindi ako nagulat kundi natuwa akong magkasama na kami as Kapatid ngayon. I’m happy for her kasi big break talaga ang binigay sa kanya in ‘The Sisters’. Pero sana, magkaroon ng time na wala ng division like in the case of Zoren Legaspi and Tita Nova Villa na nakakatawid ng istasyon dahil may shows sila sa GMA, meron din dito sa TV5. Para walang ilangan among stars.”
There’s talk that Seiko Films will file a TRO to prevent the airing of “The Sisters” tomorrow as they already bought the rights to it from novelist Rod Santiago. Let’s see if the show would go on or not.
