Alden Richards hopes his date with Sam Pinto leads to something different

SAM PINTO is not really paired with Alden Richards in “Tween Academy: Class of 2012” but with Elmo Magalona who plays her student with a big crush on her. But in real life, it’s Alden who has proclaimed in “Showbiz Central” that Sam is his ultimate showbiz crush and gets to date her on a dinner cruise around Manila Bay last Thursday evening.

So how was it? “We had fun,” he says. “I had to think of something different kasi she’s FHM’s Sexiest Woman, hindi naman puedeng dalhin ko na lang kahit saang restaurant, so naisip ko nga ang dinner with cruise. Mahangin lang but the food was good and we really enjoyed talking. We got to know each other better. First time I learned she grew up in the States pala kaya, at first, di siya masyadong sanay sa Tagalog.”

So what’s the next step now? “We don’t really know what happens next but sana, we can deepen our friendship.” Some say they’re not matched as he’s 18 and she’s 21. “Three years lang, bale wala yun. Let’s just see muna how things will develop.”

Won’t it hurt his love team with Louise de los Reyes in “Tween Academy” that he’s linked to Sam while she’s linked to Enzo Pineda in real life? “Our fans naman know that friends lang talaga kami ni Louise. We’re also together sa ‘Bubble Gang’ at okay naman ang reception sa’min. It’s better we tell the truth than pretend na kami nga pero di naman.”
