Angelu de Leon asked to be killed

SINCE SHE’S having a delicate pregnancy, Angelu de Leon requested GMA-7 to just kill the character she plays in the hit afternoon drama, “Sisid”. “Nagka-spotting kasi ako and my obstetrician told me it’d be better if I’d stop working muna to make sure mapangalagaan ko ang pregnancy ko so I won’t lose my baby,” she says.

She plays Alicia, the mother of Jackie Rice in the story. Jackie as Eden will try her best to save her mom who was kidnapped by the evil Alona (Alicia Meyer). In the show, Angelu tries to escape from Alona and she gets killed while attempting to do so. Jackie succeeds in finding the much coveted perlante or giant pearl but, she is dismayed to learn that her mom is already dead. She suspects Dominic Roco as Sig as being the guilty party in the death of her mom. Dominic goes to Angelu’s wake and the angry Jackie drives him away. But the villainous Alona is not yet finished in oppressing Jackie, stealing the perlante from her then abducting Jackie to sell her to a whore house and make her a prostitute.
