Bong Revilla glad that conflict with old political foes has been settled

ALL’S WELL that ends well. That’s the happy conclusion for the Revilla and Remulla clans of Cavite who have reconciled after a rift between their two families. Sen. Ramon Bong Revilla Jr. took time of from his senate work and from shooting “Panday Book 2” to be his dad’s proud son as former action star/Sen. Ramon Revilla Sr. was awarded the prestigious Gawad Miong along with former Cavite Gov. Johnny Remulla in the awards ceremonies held recently at the Taal Vista Hotel in Tagaytay City. The award is named after the Caviteno revolutionary general and first President of the Republic Emilio Aguinaldo. It honors Cavitenos who have done exemplary service to the people of Cavite and have given significant contribution to the progress of the province. Now the current Philippine Reclamation Authority chairman, ex-Sen. Ramon Sr. considers the older Remulla a long-lost friend. He admits that they had their differences before due to political reasons. “But that is all water under the bridge now,” said former Sen. Ramon Sr. Their sons, Sen. Bong and incumbent Cavite Gov. Johnvic Revilla, vow to further cultivate their relationship and continue the legacy of their respective fathers for the continued progress of the province of Cavite they all love.
