Cesar Montano not leaving GMA-7 for TV-5

CESAR MONTANO’s manager, Shirley Pizarro, says it’s not true he’s bolting out of GMA-7 to move to TV5. “We’re really wondering kunsaan galing ang mga balitang he’ll do a sitcom daw or a noontime show with Aga Muhlach and Bayani Agbayani sa TV5,” she says. “It’s simply not true. Ni walang negotiations between him and TV 5. Happy siya sa GMA and he has just met with Atty. Felipe Gozon about the renewal of his contract with them.”

Cesar is also about tape the start of the second season of “Andres de Saya”. The first season ends tonight with a special episode. It’s their town fiesta and Cesar helps put up “banderitas” in their home because the barangay tanods are scared of his feisty wife, Iza Calzado. In the process, he gets electrocuted by a live wire and is rushed to the hospital. For the first time, Iza’s Lola Corinne (Gloria Romero), who’s at odds with Cesar, takes pity on him. Other cast members like Elmo Magalona, Julie Ann San Jose, Pekto, Chariz Solomon, Jillian Ward and Caridad Sanchez all get worried and prepare special numbers to entertain not only Cesar but TV audiences as well, so don’t miss it.
