EUGENE DOMINGO’S career is really on a roll. After the hit Cinemalaya movie “Ang Babae sa Septic Tank” (the most successful indie film ever that was made for P3 million only but has since earned P40 million in its nationwide theatrical release), she’ll now be seen in the mainstream romantic comedy, “Wedding Tayo, Wedding Hindi”. Written and directed by Joey Reyes who has made similar successful films about weddings like “Kasal Kasalo Kasali” and “Sakal Sakali Saklolo”, “Wedding Tayo” is about two couples: Eugene and Wendell Ramos, Toni Gonzaga and Zanjoe Marudo. Eugene and Wendell have been married for sometime and their marriage is on the rocks after Wendell lost Eugene’s savings in a pyramid scam. Toni just received a formal proposal for marriage from Zanjoe and is ecstatic about their forthcoming wedding, but Eugene is trying her best to discourage her cousin Toni from proceeding with it, saying marriage and men are both disappointing and frustrating.
“I really enjoyed working with Wendell, Toni and Zanjoe in this movie,” says Eugene. “Si Wendell, ilang beses ko nang nakapareha sa shows ng GMA-7, but this is our first movie together at dito, masasabi ko talaga, a new love team is born on the big screen.
