GMA EXECS JOEY Abacan and Ida Henares held a presscon for their contract-signing with Skylar executives headed by big boss Sarjono “Stro” Sutrismo. “This is their first tie up with a Filipino company,” says Ms. Ida. “We’ll be their media partner here and we’ll help them promote the movie while Orly Ilacad of OctoArts will help them with the distribution. Aside from doing movies, they also produce concerts in Indonesia and they’re meeting with local concert producers to coordinate with them. The movie with Gwen is just the start. They have many more projects in the planning stage and they also aim to show GMA shows in Indonesia.”
