Kring Kring Gonzales not keen on her daughters joining Showbiz

THE TWO DAUGHTERS of Tacloban First Lady Cristina Gonzales and Mayor Alfred Romualdez are both very pretty. Sofia (who looks more like the mayor) is 12 while Diana (who looks more like Kring Kring) is 9. Some talent managers and producers have offered to sign them up but Kring Kring says she’d rather they finish college first. “At saka mahiyain ang mga yan, hindi showbiz,” she adds.

She seems to be so happy in Tacloban. “I really am. I’m so blessed marrying a guy na mabai, hindi babaero, hindi umiinom, hindi naninigarilyo. Ang hilig niya, mga bikes, cars, boats, jetski, yun ang mga gusto niya. At magtrabaho for Tacloban.”

Is she really running for governor in 2013? “I really don’t know. Maraming nagsa-suggest na I give it a try, but for me, kung ano ang will ni God, that’s what I will follow. I am praying for Him to help me discern. Basta as of now, gusto ko talaga mas makatulong sa buong probinsiya. My programs now are only for Tacloban. May livelihood and medical programs ako for the poor, also for tourism, that I want to share para sa buong lalawigan.”

How about showbiz, doesn’t she miss it? “I do, but I can’t do yung teleseryes na magdamagan ang taping kasi based na ko talaga sa Tacloban. But guestings sa talk shows, I can do that.” She remains so sexy. Will she do a pictorial for a men’s mag? “May nag-offer na but I said no kasi nanay na ko, no? Baka magmukha akong TH at kung anupang masabi ng tao, lalo yung mga kalaban namin sa politics.”
