MAJA SALVADOR cried at the presscon of her title-role film, “Thelma”, when asked how she felt about the rumor she tried to steal her director, Paul Soriano, from Toni Gonzaga. “Masakit kasi wala namang katotohanan ‘yun,” she says. “Sobrang pinaghirapan namin itong movie tapos nakakalungkot na sa promo, sasabihing inaakit ko si Direk Paul. Hindi naman ako gumagawa ng movie para makipaglandian. Nakakahiya. Ang pangit. Buti na lang hindi naniniwala si Toni. Sana, tumutok na lang ang promo sa personal sacrifices I made for the movie. Six weeks bago pa nag-start ang shooting, I already trained for my running scenes as Direk Paul wants Maja Salvador to disappear at ang lumabas lang sa movie, yung character ko as Thelma. I speak Ilocano here, umitim ako ng husto dahil sa pagbibilad sa araw sa takbuhan. Nagkasugat-sugat ako sa pagtakbo sa rough roads, sa putikan.
