Sarah has been away for sometime. “I stayed in the U.S. for three weeks and took voice and dance lessons with different teachers,” she says. “Gusto ko lang lumawak ang knowledge ko about my craft at malaman kung paano sila magturo roon. Pam-boost na rin ng self-confidence in performing. Yung dance teacher ko is a black Jamaican with very fluid moves. I learned a lot.”
Why did she still have to study singing when she’s already an accomplished singer? “I don’t consider myself as magaling. I still want to improve and learn the techniques to effortless singing.”
So what’s in store for her now? “I also just returned from concerts in Sydney and Newcastle, Australia with Mark Bautista. Next, I’ll be doing shows in Dubai, Israel, Korea and Japan. Tuloy rin and ‘Recordbreaker’ concert tour ko rito. Then there’s the new movie I will be doing for Gerald na co-prod din ng Viva and Star Cinema.”
Did she get to meet Charice in the U.S.? “No. She’s too busy shooting a movie and doing her new album we never got to meet. But she sent me a message saying na sana, matuloy pa rin yung balak niyang collaboration namin.”
