Aga Muhlach's daughter in Sound of Music

AGA MUHLACH is understandably on tenterhooks as his first show on TV5, “Pinoy Explorer”, will finally be shown tonight. “Even my own kids, Andres and Atasha, are excited about it,” he says. “They want to see the Wyoming Dinosaur Center where they have actual bones of dinos. Before this, I though yung mga dinosaur, kuwento-kuwento lang. But I saw the proof that they actually existed once.”

His daughter Atasha will appear as one of the Von Trapp children in the new staging of “The Sound of Music” at the Newport Theatre in Resorts World.

Does this mean she’s now joining showbiz? “Naku, hindi. One time lang yun. Nagulat na lang ako, niyayaya kong magpunta sa farm namin, sabi sa’kin, ‘Dad, I have a rehearsal’. She really loves to sing. But I prefer magtapos muna sila ng college kung gusto nilang mag-artista.”

He must have spent a lot for the winter wardrobe he’s seen wearing in “Pinoy Explorer”. “I travelled with two maletas of wardrobe pero hindi ko nagamit. What happened was doon na lang ako bumili ng mga sinuot ko sa show. We’d like to thank the coordinator we got for our flights and land travels, Steve Thompson from ‘Amazing Race’ and his wife. They made sure there were no hitches as we moved from one far location to another.”
