WE GOT A LETTER from Boots Anson Roa as executive director of Movie Workers Welfare Foundation (Mowelfund) announcing a unique project that will be held on October 13 from 2 to 7 PM. This is “Paeng’s Celebrity Bowling for Mowelfund”, the first time the sport of bowling and the filmmaking community come together for an afternoon of bowling fun and fellowship for the benefit of marginalized movie workers. You might not know it but bowling icon Paeng Nepomuceno is connected with films since his grandfather, the late Jose Nepomuceno is considered the Father of Filipino Filmmaking, having pioneered in it. The project will have a grand launch on September 22 at noontime, hosted by Vicvic Villavicencio and Lito Balquiedra, at the Something Fishy Restaurant at Eastwood City, Libis. Boots continues to be busy as an actress. She now plays villain to Gloria Romero in GMA-7's hit primetime soap "Munting Heredera".
