CAMILLE PRATS’ late husband, Anthony Linsangan, would be laid to rest at Heritage Park in Taguig today. The grieving young window granted a live intrerview to Raymond Gutierrez in “Showbiz Central” and said she can’t understand why she has to lose her husband at such an early age, 32. They just had their church wedding at Santuario de San Antonio in March last year and everything was so rosy for them. Then three months later, Anthony started having lymph nodes in his joints (kulani) so they had it checked. They couldn’t believe it was the big C and it’s already stage 4. They resorted to radiation treatment hoping he’ll be healed but the disease has metastasized after they returned from a trip to Singapore. He then underwent chemotherapy.
Camille put up a brave front and continued working despite Anthony’s ailment. She did a villain role in “Bantatay” and later played the lead role of the mom of the missing heiress in the hit soap, “Munting Heredera”. Her husband remained very supportive of her career and would even tape episodes of her shows even if he’s already going and out of the hospital. Somehow, she’s relieved that he’s no longer in pain as she knows all the hardships he went through because of the disease that made him lose so much weight down to 100 lbs. She prayed for a miracle but she was also praying that if the Lord could no longer extend her husband’s life, it’s better for the Lord to take him than for him to continue to suffer in pain. Deep in her heart, she knows her husband will remain with her to continue guiding her and their son, Nathan, who’s turning 3 in January. We pray for the repose of Anthony’s soul and also for Camille to remain strong and courageous in her moment of grief.
