He sang several songs live, like “That’s All” and “You Make Me Feel So Young” (duet with Jim Pebanco). Mother Lily Monteverde led the well wishers that also included Ricky Davao and Tirso Cruz III (the busiest singers that night), Carmina Villaroel (his star in GMA-7’s hit afternoon soap, “Pahiram ng Isang Ina”), Zoren Legaspi, Ara Mina, Polo Ravales, Celia Rodriguez, Kuya Germs, Jake Vargas, Jaclyn Jose (who said she’d be a grandma by next month), Caridad Sanchez, Emilio Garcia, Manny Castaneda, Bibeth Orteza, Djanin Cruz, Bing Davao, child star Nicole Sanoy, Directors Soxie Topacio, Gil Portes, Maning Borlaza, Arman Reyes, Manny Valera, and Mel Chionglo, writers Gina Marissa Tagasa, Ricky Lee and Ronald Carballo, and many more.
