THE COUNTRY’S longest epic, “Hinilawod”, turned into a lavish production with elaborate costumes and sets by Hiyas Kayumanggi, will be shown Friday and Saturday night only, 8 PM, at the Nicanor Abelardo main theatre of the CCP. The actors are all trained by the expert team of Isay Alvarez and Robert Sena, playing heroes, villains, gods and monsters of ancient yore. “Hinilawod” is based on Tales from the Hinilawod River, an oral epic handed from generations in the interior tribes of Panay Island. It started in Dumaguete and the Manila staging is made with the collaboration of Creative Futures, Inc. This is a spectacular visual feast showing our culture before the coming of the Spaniards so don’t miss it. For tickets, call 374-4822, 0915-417-2280, Ticketworld at 891-9999 or visit creativefuturesinc.com and info@creativefuturesinc.com.
