Glaiza de Castro happy to be a personal choice of Director Quark Henares

GLAIZA DE CASTRO wanted to say no when Director Quark Henares told her she’ll have kissing scenes with Diether Ocampo in “Rakenrol”. “Pero nakakahiya naman kasi ang ganda ng role ko as Irene, the vocalist of Hapipaks Band, so mag-iinarte pa ba ko? Kaya pumayag ako and this is my first kiss talaga,” she says.

It took Quark five years to finish the film. “Support pa lang ako when we started hanggang sa nakapagbida na ako sa ‘Grazilda’,” she says. “When I took the audition five years ago, Direk Quark didn’t know me at all. He asked me to sing a rock song and when I did, nagustuhan niya agad ako. I was so honored dahil ang dami naming nag-audition, and yet akong nakuha. The role of Irene is a great one. Object of affection ako ni Jason Abalos but he cannot express his love for me. This is a touching love story, not only ni Jason for me, but also of young people in love with rock and roll.”

“Rakenrol” is presented by Regal Entertainment as produced by Furball and Reality Entertainmen with PostManila. It already got much acclaim at the Udine International Filmfest in Italy and the Asia Pacific Filmfest in L.A.
