SINCE THEY now have so many hosts in “Showbiz Central” (Pia Guanio, Raymond Gutierrez, John Lapus, Rufa Mae Quinto, Jennylyn Mercado and now with Jolina Magdangal as guest co-host), not all are given the chance to do hosting chores. Last Sunday, Rufa Mae didn’t get to interview anyone. Instead, she was the one interviewed by Pia about her much talked about trip to Hongkong with Boy2 Quizon. Jennylyn was, in turn, interviewed by Raymond about her romance with Luis Manzano. A case of hosts interviewing their co-hosts.
So is Rufa Mae now on with Boy2? “Boy2 and I have been friends sa ‘Bubble Gang’ for ten years now, parang family na kami dun,” she says. “Hindi lang kami friends but also business partners as we have our own production company, Brown Sugar Productions. We have three other partners na non-showbiz na kasama sa Hongkong, kaya lang kaming dalawa ang artista so kaming natsismis. We went to Hongkong on a business meeting, but also so I can rest after the death of my lola two weeks ago. Pero walang masama kung maging kami as we’re both single, kaya lang, friends lang talaga kami.”
As for Jennylyn, she admitted to Raymond that she and Luis are now on a stage that is more than MU (mutual understanding.) “But it’s still not a boyfriend-girflriend thing. I still want to know him better muna,” she says.
