Mahirap, we come from different networks now so iba ang priorities. But I miss working with her. I hope we’d get the chance to team up again.”
Is “Oras Na” as significant as his past docus like “Signos”, “Wildlife for Sale” and “Planet Philippines” that all won awards here and abroad? “Yes, we try to top them. We show that the earth is on a deadline. Experts predict that at the rate we’re going, virgin forests will be wiped out by 2025 and there’ll be a shortage of fresh water. By 2030, oil will run out and by 2050, marine resources will also run out leading to a food crisis. We show footage of actual situations in Surigao, Bohol and the Cordilleras. I join a fisherman in Antique as he goes fishing. He said ten years ago, he can catch a kilo of fish in an hour. Now, three hours kami sa laot na nahilo ako sa lakas ng alon, tatlong isda lang ang nahuli namin. We should all be alarmed.
