Tween Academy Soundtrack Album bigger hit than the movie

GMA FILMS’ “Tween Academy, Class of 2012” may not have made waves at the tills but its official soundtrack is now the best selling OPM album according to Odyssey Music sales reports. The soundtrack produced and distributed by GMA Records bested all other OPM albums, and also placed second in the overall chart covering the period of August 29 to September 4. GMA Records credits the album’s success to its wide collection of hits spanning three decades, and the tween’s ever-growing popularity. “This batch of teens is really very talented and hardworking. They are not afraid to show what they are capable of doing and it really shows in the work that they do”, said Mr. Alwyn Cruz, GMA Records Producer.

The songs include Back To December performed by Lexi Fernandez, Wake Me Up Before You Go Go by John Miguel, Lazy Song by Derrick Monasterio and Kristoffer Martin, Kaba by Julie Anne San Jose, Everytime by Frencheska Farr, Pers Lab by Barbie Forteza, and the movie’s official theme song, Nothing’s Gonna Stop Us Now done in three versions – the first by Elmo Magalona and Julie Anne San Jose, the second by Barbie Forteza, Joshua Dionisio, Jake Vargas and Bea Binene, and the last version was performed by the entire cast. The Tweenvasion continues with the upcoming release of “Tween Academy” on DVD and the Tweens’ Christmas album.
