Alice Dixson on real score with her marriage to Canada-based husband

ALICE DIXSON denies she and Canada-based husband Ronnie Miranda have split. How come some reporters keep on writing about it? “Para lang siguro may mapag-usapan, but it’s not true,” she says on the set of her new TV5 show, “Glamorosa”. “After the last taping of ‘Babaeng Hampaslupa’ in mid-July, I went home to him and we were together for two and a half months. He’s doing so well as a tech entrepreneur and he told me I don’t have to return here and work anymore, but I told him I can’t kasi I signed a contract with TV and may commitment ako with them to do ‘Glamorosa’. He’s introducing a lot of new technology, including a 360 degree camera at the BC Place Stadium in Vancouver that’s the first of its kind in North America. I’m really proud of his achievements.”

She says having kids are not a priority for them. “We’re happy na kami lang. I know most people can’t understand this, but it’s our choice. All my charities naman are for children in orphanages where I help them.”

What if Ronnie finds some girl while she’s away? “Ang gaganda ng kasama niya roon, but I trust him, in the same way that he trusts me. Walang selosan, pero one time, may nag-report sa kanyang I had a kissing scene with Jay Manalo, so pagbalik ko rito for ‘Glamorosa’, he asked me, ‘May kissing scene ba diyan?’ And I said I don’t know. Pero meron pala, with Zoren Legaspi.”

She’s excited with her role in “Glamorosa”. “Ibang-iba ito sa role ko in ‘Babaeng Hampaslupa’ na inapi ako. This time, I’m a scheming bitch, kontrabida sa buhay ni Lorna Tolentino at mare-reveal sa back story why I’m angry sa pamilya nila. We’ll be rivals as cosmetic surgeons.”

Is it like “Nip/Tuck” in Hollywood? “That’s kinda shallow compared to this. This one has a deeper layer as it’s not just beauty on the outside but beauty within, which is more important for you to have a validation of yourself.”

Alice has also finished playing the role of Marian Rivera’s mom in “Ang Panday, Ikalawang Aklat”. Isn’t too young for that? “No naman. I’m already 42. And also, ang ganda ng role ko as the Reyna Dragona of the dragon race na nagiging dragon din.”
