Aljur Abrenica's out of body experience

SINCE IT’S HALLOWEEN SOON, “Showbiz Central” featured a strange story about Aljur Abrenica going into an out-of-body experience. Aljur was asleep when he felt his soul leaving his mortal body. He was standing by the bed and he could see himself sleeping in it. An expert says this is called astral projection. Aljur said he has experienced it a couple of times and, once, it got very scary as he had trouble going back inside his body until someone came and helped him do it. When he finally got back in, he woke up feeling so tired. He said the men in his family have also experienced this, including his brother, his cousins, and their grandfather.

Aljur is now a regular in “Amaya” and he says he’s enjoying his role as Dayaw, the Manobo warrior who will train Marian Rivera how to fight so that she will later be a warrior herself. He admits he felt uncomfortable with the costume he was made to wear in “Amaya” as it’s even more revealing than the skimpy tribal outfit he wore when he did “Machete”. “Mas maikli kasi ito, kita pati legs ko na dati, hindi,” he says. “But after a while, I got used to wearing it.”

How is it working with Marian? “Saludo ko sa kanya. Talagang dedikado siya sa trabaho niya. Mahihirap yung fight routines na pinagagawa sa kanya, lalo na yung mga espadahan, pero kinakaya niya lahat. Bilib ako. Talagang lahat, gagawin niya para maging credible siya in the role of a fierce warrior.”

This week, the men of Rajah Angaway (Ryan Eigenmann) succeed in tracing Amaya and learn that she’s not really dead yet. Amaya’s snake sister bits Apila (Yasmien Kurdi) but Amaya saves her. Lamitan (Gina Alajar) stabs Lingayan (Ayen Munji Laurel). Bagani (Sid Lucero) visits former wife Marikit (Rochelle Pangilinan) and they agree to be just friends.
