Arnold Reyes happy to be part of Daldalita

ARNOLD REYES, who won Cinemalaya best supporting actor last year for “Astig”, is very pleased to be playing Ogie Alcasid’s best friend, Arthur, in the new GMA-7 soap, “Daldalita”. Arnold is also a songwriter and he has written songs for both Ogie and Regine Velasquez that were included in their albums.

“For Ogie, I wrote ‘Hanggang Saan, Hanggang Kailan’ that was an entry in the Mang Levi Celerio Song Writing Contest,” he says. “Kaya happy talaga akong nagkasama kami ngayon sa ‘Daldalita’ as I respect him so much. Idol ko siya as he’s not only a singer-songwriter but also a successful actor. In ‘Daldalita’ the characters are also shown singing at sana, mabigyan din ako ng chance to do my own song number.”

At the Metropop Song Writing contest in 2000 held on GMA-7, he won the second prize for his composition, “Paano Na”. He’s happy to be back with GMA-7 where he also once appeared in “Eat Bulaga” and in “Camera Cafe”.

How is it working with Ogie? “I learn a lot from him kasi walang effort ang acting niya. Natural lang. Also, napakabait niyang katrabaho, very considerate. I’m so thankful I’m given this chance to work with him. Masaya kami ng buong cast sa set ng ‘Daldalita’, along with our young director, Don Michael Perez.”
