She looks so slim and lovely nowadays. “Dahil sa Cohen diet. It’s Zanjoe who pushed me to try it and for me to exercise. Although sabi niya, mahal pa rin niya ko kahit mataba ako.”
She admits they’ve been on for six months now. Has she and Zanjoe discussed marriage? “Naku, that’s too early. I’m only 24. He’s 28. But I’m hoping he’s the one na kasi ayoko namang magbilang ng boyfriend. But I’ll marry when I’m 29 or 30 pa.”
So what’s next for her after “Guns and Roses”? “On TV, next year na uli ako gagawa, reunion namin ni John Lloyd Cruz after three years. But I’m doing a new movie with Direk Olive Lamasan. Mapangahas daw ito. They’re trying to get Sam Milby in it.”
Is it as daring as what Anne Curtis did in “No Other Woman”? “Mapangahas, but not in a sexy way. Siempre, may limitations ako. Kung kasingganda ang katawan ko ng kay Anne, siguro lagi akong naka-two piece bikini.”
She started when she was 13 going to 14 in “Kay Tagal Kang Hinintay” in 2001 so she’s celebrating her 10th anniversary in showbiz. What are the highlights of her career? “Yung pagiging big box office hit ng ‘One More Chance’. Then yung ‘And I Love You So’, that wasn’t shown at SM theatres then but kumita pa rin. On TV, it’s ‘Maging Sino Ka Man’ and ‘Magkaribal’.”
Has she tried looking for her British dad? “I’ve never met him at nainggit ako kay Angelica Panganiban who found her American dad. But I got scared of being rejected. It’s one rejection na di ko siguro kayang tanggapin. I just pray to the Lord na kung destined talagang magkita pa kami, bahala na Siya. Siguro sobrang kumpleto na ko kapag na-meet ko siya. But as it is, I already feel complete kasi marami namang ibang father figures sa buhay ko. Ang dami kong ibang blessings, I’ll be ungrateful naman kung mag-complain pa ako.”
