ABS-CBN PREXY Charo Santos enjoys being a grandmother. Her eldest son has given her a granddaughter now one year and 4 months old. “Ang sarap pala maging lola!” she exclaims. “Ang sarap-sarap. Lalo na itong apo ko, babae. This is new for me as my two kids are both boys. Feeling ko, parang nanay na naman ako. And I think I’m enjoying it a lot more now kasi mas relaxed na ako. A few months from now, madadagdagan ang apo ko as another one is in January, so new year, new apo.”
For this Saturday’s 20th anniversary presentation of her “Maalaala Mo Kaya”, Charo is presenting the real life story of the Happy Feet brothers in Bukidnon who competed in “Pilipinas Get Talent”, with John Prats and Nash Aguas playing the roles of the dancing brothers and Ariel Rivera as their very strict father.
