Claudine Barreto's messy split up with husband Raymart Santiago

CLAUDINE BARRETTO was shown in “24 Oras” crying at Union Bank after she learned that their joint savings amounting to some P5 million has been withdrawn by her husband Raymart Santiago. Obviously, there’s some kink in their marriage or it wouldn’t have come to this. Both Claudine and Raymart are Kapuso stars. Claudine is still in “Iglot” while Raymart just finished doing “Futbolilits”. Before, they both vehemently denied the rumors that they’re separating, saying that they have problems like normal couples, but they always try to solve it with the help of their pastor and counsellor.

This time, it’s apparent something worse really happened. Otherwise why would Raymart withdraw their joint savings without informing Claudine? She went to the bank with her lawyer, Atty. Agnes Maranan, and that’s when they were informed that Raymart has already withdrawn the money from some other branch.

Raymart is the one who’s the villain here, since wags also say he has a paramour, an actress once linked to a TV host. We asked around if this were true and Raymart defenders say it’s not. They say it’s Raymart who tried his best to keep their marriage intact all these years, adjusting to the erratic mood swings of his wife through the years. “Napuno na lang si Raymart dahil siya na lang ang laging nagtatakip,” one source says.

We heard current efforts to make the couple thresh things out have been turned down by both parties. They’d rather deal on a lawyer to lawyer basis from now on. This is the third breakup in showbiz lately after Piolo-KC, John Lloyd-Shaina. But this is the saddest one since Claudine and Raymart are married and have kids who’d surely be affected by what’s happening now. Let’s just pray for them to be able to solve this with the Lord’s help.
