Controversial Wonder Gays sing the songs of male singers suspected to be gay

THE SINGING GAY band, Wonder Gays composed of White, Gray, Green, Pink, Blue and Black, will have their first ever major concert, “May Nag-Tweet...Hur Hur”, at Zirkoh Morato on Tuesday, October 18, 8 PM. The show is bound to be controversial since they have a Bading Medley with songs of singers who are suspected to be gay.

They won’t name who these singers are but they sang their songs during the presscon and it’s easy to conclude that the singers alluded to are Piolo Pascual, Christian Bautista, Erik Santos, Jed Madela and Bugoy Drilon. What if these guys would react? “Bakit, pinaghihinalaan ba silang bading?” they say. “Pag nag-react sila, bahala sila.”

Their special guests are Polo Ravales, Ahron Villena, Frank Garcia, Baron Geisler and Kris Lawrence. “Usually, yung male guests, nilalandi namin. But this time, sila ang lalandi sa amin,” they claim.

Who are their personal faves among their guests? White and Black won’t mention anyone.

Who are the actors they fantasize with? Blue and Black: “Coco Martin. Napanood namin siya sa ‘Serbis’ na nag-full frontal siya. Ang swerte nung girl.” White: “John Lloyd Cruz” Green: “Sam Milby” Gray: “Enchong Dee, kasi di ba, sabi nila, ganun din siya?”

Is it true they’re mad at Vice Ganda for belittling them? “No,” they say. “Mahal namin siya kasi idol namin siya. Nasaktan kami sa tweet niya pero sabi niya, hindi raw siya yun. We’ll just consider it a challenge para gawin naming mas bongga-bongga ang performances namin.”

The eldest member of the group is White, who’s best known for his Nora Aunor impersonations. He says he’s a former macho dancer and has a child. The youngest and most goodlooking member is Gray. They are all excited but nervous with their coming show. “Siempre, first concert namin in a big venue,” they say. “Wala na nga kaming tulog at bugbog na kami sa rehearsals to make sure magiging very entertaining ang buong show.”

They’ll sing their songs from their first album like the hit “Blind Item”, “Pare”, “O Lala”, “Kiyeme Lang Yun”, all composed by Blank Tape, another talent of their manager, Lito de Guzman, who’ll also be a guest in the show. Since they all started in comedy bars, they promise to deliver laugh-out-loud jokes that are all original, sure to make the audience roll with laughter.
