Gov. Vilma santos starts shooting new movie with Kim Chiu

FANS OF GOV. VILMA Santos will be glad to know that she has started shooting last Wednesday her new movie, “The Healing”, a suspense-thriller helmed by Chito Rono for Star Cinema. She plays the role of a woman whose loved ones mysteriously die one by one. Also in the cast are Kim Chiu, Janice de Belen, Pokwang, Mark Gil, Martin del Rosario, Cris Villanueva, Daria Ramirez, Maria Isabel Lopez and Ces Quesada.

Gov. Vi is excited with the project as it’s not the usual heavy drama that she does. The last time she did suspense-thrillers was still in the 70s when the late Joey Gosiengfiao directed her in such hits as “Takbo, Vilma, Dali” and “Hatinggabi Na, Vilma”.

Gov. Vi will celebrate another milestone on November 3 and she will celebrate it in a nearby Asian country with her family, except eldest son Luis Manzano who’s busy with “Pilipinas Got Talent” and his new soap, “Alta”, with KC Concepcion, Angelica Panganiban and Gretchen Barretto. Last Sunday, Jennylyn Mercado thanked her personally in “Showbiz Central” for the basket of atis she sent to Luis’ rumored new squeeze. Jen requested to interview her for “Showbiz Central” in the occasion of her coming birthday and she agreed. To Gov. Vi, our best wishes on your natal day!
