LJ Reyes on Paulo Avelino's moving over to ABS-CBN

LJ REYES IS currently one of the most hated women on TV because of her role in “Time of My Life”. As the villainous Zaira, she heads the Elite Dance Crew that is the rival of Kris Bernal’s Motion Masters. “Viewers hate my kamalditahan so much that natuwa sila nang masunog ang braso ko the other night,” she says. “Very possessive kasi ako rito kay Ms. Jean Garcia, who adopted me, pero ang tunay niyang anak, si Kris.”

What if she’s typecast in villain roles? “Okay lang, I don’t mind. Nakakatakot mag-lead dahil big pressure yun. Mas challenging magkontrabida, mas maraming layer of emotions na puedeng paglaruan. And I’m so happy na kasama ko rito sina Ms. Jean and Ms. Cherie Gil. Para kong nag-aaral sa kanila.”

How’s her and Paulo Avelino’s baby boy, Ethan? “One year and 2 months na siya. Ipinasyal ko sa mommy ko sa New York for one week. Ang bait niya sa plane, hindi umiiyak. Pero hindi siya kinaya ng mom ko kasi sobrang energy niya. Marunong na maglambing.”

Did Paulo consult her when he moved to ABS-CBN? “Yes. He said, ano sa tingin mo? I helped him weigh the pros and cons, but I told him, sa ending, it’s him who’s going to decide for himself. Ayoko naman siyang pangunahan at baka sabihin, nasasakal siya sa’kin, but happy naman kami sa naging decision niya.”

What if Paulo gets attracted to a Kapamilya actress? “Di bahala siya, magluko siya, problema niya yun. Ibig sabihin, di ganun kalalim ang pagmamahal niya sa’min ng anak niya.”
