MARIAN RIVERA led the thanksgiving mass and dinner for her hit show, “Amaya”, held at GMA-7’s executive room. The whole cast is jubilant as they’ve been extended up to January 13. Some fans are requesting they be extended up to March but Marian, now the Primetime Queen because of the huge success of “Amaya”, says that’s too much.
“We should give chance to other shows para makapasok naman sila,” she says. “Dapat nga, yung bagong show ni Dingdong (Dantes) will start after us this October, but since we’re extended, they have to wait muna.”
She laughs off rumors that they are now living in and they’ll go on a honeymoon in the U.S. this November. “May sarili kong bahay, ganun din siya. Yung U.S. trip, it’s for us to watch Kuya Manny (Pacquiao’s) fight in Las Vegas. It’s no big deal kasi two days lang ako dun then balik na ako agad dito. Two days lang ako pinayagang mawala sa taping ng ‘Amaya’, e. But sina Dong and his parents, maiiwan pa sila roon to visit relatives nila. First time ko manood ng live boxing so medyo ninenerbiyos ako. Baka hindi ko makaya. Kapag grabeng bugbugan na may dugo, I’ll just close my eyes.”
The epic story of “Amaya” is now more exciting with the introduction of new characters played by Aljur Abrenica, Yasmien Kurdi and Ronnie Lazaro. “Lahat kami, inspired with the extension of the show, pati dating members ng cast, and we promise we’ll do our best para mas mapaganda pa ito,” Marian adds.
