RHIAN RAMOS TURNED 21 on Monday, October 3, and she celebrated it last Sunday in “Party Pilipinas”. On the day of her birthday, her British dad surprised her by flying in from Thailand to have a dinner cruise with her and their family. “It’s so nice of him to take time out from work just to be with me on my birthday,” she says.
She feels so blessed in her life and career, so on Sunday, October 9, she wants to pay it forward by leading the Avon Walk for breast cancer awareness to show her support to Avon’s Kiss Goodbye to Breast Cancer campaign. This is specially meaningful for her as her mom, Clara Ramos, has just been diagnosed to be suffering from it. “It was discovered she has a malignant cyst and I want to show my love and support not only for her but to all the women who are affected by it. Then in the afternoon, I will celebrate my birthday with the Gabay Guro member beneficiaries of the PLDT-Smart Foundation in line with National Teachers Month at the MOA Music Hall. Teachers are unsung heroes who help move our nation forward so we should really pay tribute to them. On October 14 naman, I’ll be with cancer-stricken children to bring them food and presents. For my fans, I’ll have a special fans day at Robinsons Novaliches on October 16 and in a surprise venue on October 23.”
Rhian has just finished shooting two new movies: the suspense-thriller “The Road” and the Metro filmfest entry, “Ang Panday, Ikalawang Aklat”. She’ll also start taping a new soap with Dingdong Dantes, tentatively titled “Sundo”. On youtube, her video with Moymoy Palaboy, “Super Bass”, is a big hit.
