Roxanne Guinoo makes showbiz comeback

ROXANNE GUINOO is making a comeback now that her baby girl, Reine, has turned 1 on September 30. It’s with the blessing of her husband, Elton Yap. “He knows how much I miss acting and he’s very supportive,” she says. Since her contract with ABS has expired, she got a new manager, Manny Valera. “Pinag-isipan ko munang mabuti kasi major decision siya. Direk Manny and I have the same vision about my career. Gusto naming makabalik ako doing drama. I did several dramas with ABS like ‘Natutulog Ba ang Diyos’, ‘Florinda’, ‘Ligaw na Bulaklak’ and ‘Palos’.”

She’s now a free lancer and she has an offer from TV5 to do the remake of ‘Valiente’ with JC De Vera and Oyo Sotto. “Kaya lang, villain role ang inaalok nila sa’kin. Ayoko namang pagbabalik ko, kontrabida agad.” Manny adds: “Dapat kung babalik siya, yung mapapansin uli ang galing niya sa drama. May offer sa kanya ngayon for two episodes of ‘Maalaala Mo Kaya’, one is with Robin Padilla. We might consider that.”
“But I’m open to working with TV5 as I did a sitcom with them before, ‘Everybody Hapi’, with Joey Marquez,” says Roxanne.

Now 25 years old, is she open to working again with ex-BF’s Jake Cuenca and Joross Gamboa? “Huwag na, kasi pag nagsama kami, hahalukayin na naman uli ang nakaraan namin, e may kanya-kanya na kaming buhay. Out of respect for my husband, ayoko ng pag-usapan pa uli yun.”
