Who’s his peg as Harry? “Si Direk Andoy Ranay. I’ve played gay roles before in ‘Bubble Gang’, ‘Spooky Nights’, and ‘Andres de Saya’, pero binago nila ni Direk Mark Reyes ang pagka-gay ko as Harry. He taught me the right gestures para mas maging malandi yung performance ko, pero hindi screaming. Nag-enjoy akong laruin ang role ko. Nagulat ako, maraming nakagusto, pati mga bata who call me Harry when they see me in public.”
Born John Paul Josef Cadayona on March 3, 1989, he’s only child and his parents separated when he was still a baby. “I was already 9 when I first saw my dad. We don’t have any communication. Cadayona is my mom’s surname. My dad is Ureta at ang pagkaalam, relative siya ni Ariel Ureta. He’s now married but I haven’t met my half-siblings. I also have a stepdad but wala silang anak ng mom ko.”
His grandparents encouraged him to dance and he’s imitate Michael Jackson. “I trained with the Philippine All Stars dance team and with Ballet Philippines for two years. I also studied hiphop kaya ‘Time of My Life’ is my turf as it’s about dancing.”
He has done several TV commercials, the most popular of which is the Cornettos series. “I’ve already done 7 versions at gagawa pa raw kami ng bago. It’s difficult to shoot kasi paulit-ulit ang pagkain ko ng ice cream. Kung minsan up to 60 to 70 takes, gusto ko ng isuka. I’m hoping my next assignment, hindi naman gay role so that people can see I can do other kinds of roles. I’m hoping I can to an indie film na matindi ang role at makakatulong sa’kin.”
He’s loveless now but he was went steady with Janna Dominguez for 8 months. Janna is now said to be preggy and the dad is Iwa Moto’s ex-BF. “I don’t know if that’s true kasi I see her sa ‘Pepito Manaloto’ at di naman siya mukhang buntis.”
