MARIEL RODRIGUEZ was formally introduced as co-host of “WilTime Big Time” last Saturday night. Earlier, someone wrote that Willie Revillame’s original co-host, Shalani Soledad, resents this. But when interviewed, Shalani says this isn’t true.
“We we’re all looking forward na mapasama sa amin ni Mariel,” she says. “She’s definitely welcome to join us at natutuwa kami dahil mas marami kaming magkakatulungan sa show.”
Meantime, at “Happy Yippy Yehey”, it’s reported that Bb. Pilipinas Universe Shamcey Supsup will be taking the place left vacant by Mariel. With her bubbly and vibrant personality, they believe she’ll be perfect to be a noontime host. But this early, it’s said another beauty queen host who’s already in the show is feeling insecure about Shamcey’s rumored inclusion in the show, Bianca Manalo, the current squeeze of John Prats who’s much taller than her. Bianca was just one of the thank you girls in the Miss Universe pageant, but Shamcey ended up as third runner up, so she has reason to feel insecure.
“Happy Yippy Yehey” should really beef up its show as its rating is dismally low. Sometimes, it would get a rating of only 3% while its rival “Eat Bulaga” is rating up to 14 to 15%, almost like the ratings of a primetime show. There are times when TV5’s “Bangis”, which is replayed in the afternoon, rates even higher than it. Let’s hope Shamcey’s entrance in the show will help attract more viewers to watch it.
