Survivor Philippines new line up of cast aways

RICHARD GUTIERREZ’ latest edition of “Survivor Philippines, Celebrity Showdown 2” will start in mid-November yet but the expectations of the public as to who the new castaways would be is reaching fever pitch as seen in their exchange of guesses in the internet. The contestants this time are supposed to be partners: boyfriend-girlfriend, mother-child, best friends. They’re supposed to have been officially announced in “24 Oras’” last night. We heard that beauty queen-turned-actress Maria Isabel Lopez and her daughter Mara (who has appeared in ABS-CBN soaps) joined the contest but were quickly eliminated, which is why Maria Isabel was able to join the cast of “The Healing”, Gov. Vilma Santos’ new movie. She was also in the “Maalaala Mo Kaya” Palawan episode as the best friend of Angel Aquino.

Estranged couple Geneva Cruz and KC Montero also joined as castaways and friends are hoping the experience will help them save their marriage. Other contestants are cousins Carlo Gonzales and Arthur Solinap, Starstruck colleagues Stef Prescott (who was bitten by a snake but chose to return to the location after treatment) and Gino de la Paz, sexy best friends Alyssa Alano of “Startalk” and Aifa Medina of “Sexbomb”, former actress Jackie Foster (who just married her Dutch boyfriend in Singapore) and radio DJ Angelicopter, former child stars Isabel Granada and Chuckie Dreyfus, Ellen Adarna of “Bubble Gang” and her non-showbiz enterpeneur BF, two comedians (one boy and one girl) and two hunky members of the rugby team, Philippine Volcanoes, whose underwear billboards were rejected by the mayor of Mandaluyong.
