YASMIEN KURDI met with Baron Geisler at a QC resto last Tuesday night and they settled the acts of lasciviousness case she filed against him while they’re taping a GMA show.
Baron issued a public apology for Yasmien, which says: “I am sorry for the misunderstanding between me and Yasmien Kurdi that brought about the filing of her criminal charges against me before the Municipal Trial Court of Bocaue, Bulacan. As many of you already know, I just finished my rehabilitation program for my alcohol problem. My stay at the facility allowed me to reflect and learn from my experiences in life. It is time to start a new leaf. Thank you.”
Yasmien’s lawyer said she’s a good and forgiving person who asked nothing more than Baron’s admission of the act and apologizing for it. Here’s her statement about it: “As a Christian, I accept the apology of Mr. Baron Geisler. I will pray that he has truly been totally rehabilitated and that he will no longer repeat with anyone the unfortunate acts that have led in my filing of the charges against him. As the Apostle Luke said in Chapter 17, the Verse is 4: ‘Take heed to yourselves: If thy brother trespass against thee, rebuke him; and if he repent, forgive him.’ Mr. Geisler has been sufficiently rebuked, and now that he appears repentant, I forgive him. It is time for me to leave this sordid affair behind and move on. I thank those who stood by me during these trying times: my family, friends in showbiz, my brethren in the Iglesia ni Cristo, and my lawyer, Brother Ferdinand Topacio, for their unwavering support. I wish Mr. Baron Geisler all the best in his efforts to make a new life for himself and his career.” Yasmien is now busy with her nursing studies but still accepts acting jobs every now and then. After “Grazilda”, she now appears as Apila in “Amaya”, a Manobo along with Aljur Abrenica and Ronnie Lazaro. “Semestral break namin so I have time to act naman,” she says. She’s quite thin as she often sleeps late when she goes on duty as a nursing intern in the hospital. Since her hair is short now, she had to use hair extensions for her role as Aljur’s childhood friend in “Amaya”. “Malalalim na Tagalog ang lines ko,” she says. At first, she’s hostile to Marian Rivera as Amaya but she relents when she learns that they are both babaylans.
