So how is it working with them? “Lorna is very accommodating. Intimidated ako pero makuwento siya and made me feel comfortable. Magaan siyang katrabaho. Si Alice naman, I’ve worked with her before in ‘Underage Too’. Teacher namin siya nina Ruffa Gutierrez, but she’s paired then with Eric Quizon na siya namang director namin ngayon dito sa ‘Glamorosa’. Ngayon lang kami naging magkapareha, pero si Lorna ang maaanakan ko dito. I play Karl, sanggano sa slum area kunsaan nakatira kami ni Alice. Boss ko si John Regala. Ginamit ako ni Alice sa paghihiganti niya kay Lorna. Nakipagkilala ko Lorna ng agawan ko siya sa pagsakay sa taksing sinakyan niya. Di niya alam, sinet up kami ni Alice para ma-seduce ko siya.”
What happened to the film he’s directing, “Huling Sayaw ni Salome”? “I’m waiting for my actors. Busy si Michelle Madrigal sa soap niyang ‘Kung Aagawin Mo ang Langit’ at si JC De Vera naman, iniisip pa if he’d agree to the butt exposure scene I’m asking him to do in the movie. Gusto ko, once we start shooting, tuloy-tuloy na at walang hitches. May breast exposure din si Michelle but I promise hindi bastos ang magiging dating.”
Is it true his longtime companion Carmina Villaroel will soon also move to TV5? “Her manager, Tita Dolor (Guevara), is negotiating for her, but it’s not with TV5, sa iba (ABS). May nami-miss kasi siya sa career niya. Mostly hosting ang ginagawa niya sa GMA. Gusto niya gumawa ng matinding heavy drama. Tapos na yung contract niya with GMA by December, but in fairness to GMA, they want to retain her.”
Carmina is currently doing the soap “Pahiram ng Isang Ina” with GMA, plus the sitcom “Pepito Manaloto” and the GMA News TV show, “Day Off”. Whoever is getting her should give her more than that.
