Aljur Abrenica a big hit in Korea

ALJUR ABRENICA is a big hit with Koreans when he performed at the recent Migrants Arirang Festival on Arirang TV, the international English-language network based in Seoul. He delighted the largely Korean audiences with his song numbers and some of them are seen star struck with him while he’s performing. Early this year, Aljur was awarded Best Asian Model at the Asia Model Festival Awards held annually also in Korea. This explains the warm reception he got from Korean fans during the Migrants’ event.

“I was pleasantly surprised with the very warm reception given to me by Korean audiences when I performed at Arirang,” says Aljur. “Ang daming nagpa-picture with me at tuwang-tuwa silang makita ako. I really want to thank them sa masayang pagtanggap nila sa’kin.”

Aljur is also enjoying his stint in “Amaya” as Dayaw, the Manobo warrior who teaches Marian Rivera how to fight. He now has secret feelings for Amaya and wants to tell her about his love for her. But Amaya obviously still harbours some feeling for Sid Lucero as Bagani whose life is continuously threatened by Ryan Eigenmann as Angaway. Amaya also cannot introduce herself yet to Dal’lang (Lani Mercado) as her real daughter. She prepares for her fight against Angaway.
