Genelyn is said to be the daughter of former actress Lyn Madrigal and the late Sen. Gene Magsaysay. She was reportedly about 15 or 16 when she tried to join showbiz and was included in the Cine Suerte Productions movie, “Lost Command”, in 1988. “Si Bong Revilla ang bida roon,” says our source. “Ang tawag pa niya kay Bong noon, Tito Bong but Bong told her na Kuya na lang ang itawag sa kanya at napakabata niyang maging Tito. Little did Bong know na magiging stepmother pala niya si Genelyn dahil hindi na ito pinakawalan ng father niya ng makilala ito. She’s a very pretty mestiza girl then but after nine kids with Sen. Ramon Revilla Sr., who’s still married then to the late Azucena Mortel, the mother of Bong, ayan, lumaki na siya into what she is today. Panganay nila si Ramgen who’s born in 1988. Genelyn is just about 40 years old now. She herself produced the movie 'Anak Ka ng Tatay Mo' introducing Ram to stardom, but it didn't do well at the box office.”
