THE CURRENT SEASON of PBB Unlimited is off to an interesting start with some intriguing characters among the housemates. First is the confessed lesbian Divina Maitland Smith who was grilled by the others about her sexual preference. She said she first realized there’s something different about her when she was 7 years old. She did try having a boyfriend. “But after two months, I knew I didn’t really like him,” she said. “We lasted for 8 months. After we broke up, that’s when I decided to come out.” Someone asked her if there’s a possibility she might change later but she said: “I can’t change who I am.” Pamu Pamorada later admitted she also has a lesbian sister so she understands Divine.
Digoy Abarico of Ormoc also got a lot of attention. “Mukhang kanto boy ang dating niya,” said Pamu. Joseph Biggel of Marinduque is able to relate to him. “Pareho tayong galing sa broken home,” he said.
Digoy said the difference is he grew up alone. He didn’t go to school and he admitted becoming a snatcher and a holdaper. Kuya later on talked to him alone. “Dito, may mga taong maituturing mong pamilya,” he told Digoy, making him cry.
The housemates chose to have unlimited food and they were given the so-called “pagpag” leftover food from fastfood restos. But the truth is the food is clean and aren’t leftovers. Since they chose unlimited food, they now have limited water and clothes. Some of them decided not to take a bath everyday. Digoy used for brushing his teeth the water that Jaz used for washing her face. There’s a discussion between Digoy and Paco Evangelista on how they can use the water wisely. Paco felt Digoy is bossing them around. The most charming housemate so far is Seichang Ushimi, but there’s a big language problem between him and the other housemates since he only speaks Nihongo and broken English.
