WE ATTENDED the mass sponsored by banker Danny Dolor for the late Director Boots Plata (Marcelo Victorino in real life), husband of talent manager Dolor Guevarra. It was held at the Vera Perez Gardens and Manay Ichu Maceda was the gracious host for the evening in charge of all the food served during dinner, aided by her amiable daughter in law, Rica. At the mass were Mother Lily Monteverde, Susan Roces, Phillip Salvador,
Ricky Davao, Eric and Epy Quizon, Al Tantay, Director Maryo de los Reyes, talent managers Shirley Kuan and Leo Dominguez, Eat Bulaga exec Malou Choa Fagar and many friends from the press.
The last two masses at Century Imperial are sponsored by Carmina Villaroel (a talent of Dolor) and TV5. The 40th day mass will be sponsored by ABS-CBN. Direk Butse (as he’s fondly called in showbiz circles) is one of the seven recent deaths in showbiz.
