Venus is already with ABS-CBN’s “Umagang Kay Ganda”, so why didn’t she sign up with Star Cinema? Doesn’t she have any acting offers with them? “Actually, meron,” she says. “But my priority with ABS is my morning show. If I’d do a soap, I’m sure it’ll affect my morning show kasi everyday ang taping. I prefer doing a movie na hindi araw-araw ang shoot.”
Born on July 7, 1988, Venus has just finished journalism before she joined BB. Pilipinas and became 4th placer in last year’s Miss Universe. What kind of movie would she like to do? “I’d prefer a romantic comedy as I’m not prepared to do hardcore drama. I’d want to work with Jericho Rosales kasi he’s also Bicolano and I’m comfortable with him kasi nakakasama ko na siya sa ASAP.” Currently, Jericho co-stars with Lovi Poe for Yesterday, Today and Tommorow.
Is there anything not natural in her? “Ay, walang fake sa’kin. Everything is as is. Eyelashes ko lang ang false,” she laughs. Did she feel insecure when Shamcey Supsup placed as 3rd runner up? “No. May kanya-kanya naman kaming ganda at talent. Architecture siya, journalism ako. You don’t have to compare yourself with others. Kontento ako sa sarili ko. Isa pa, we’re both managed by Jonas so we’re sisters.”
