Why Some Folks Predict That Jennylyn Mercado-Luis Manzano Won't Last

JENNYLYN MERCADO and Luis Manzano have admitted they’re now committed to each other. Luis was the one who confessed first when someone asked him about it: “Oo, kami na.” Jen was interviewed in “Showbiz Central” last Sunday via phone patch. She’s absent as one of the show’s host as she has fever from cough and colds. “Yes, may formality na ang relationship namin. Masaya kami. Nagtutulungan.” They became officially on this month but they won’t reveal the exact date. “Para may konting privacy pa rin kami,” she says.

The admission came just after Luis’ ex, Angel Locsin, also admitted that she’s now playing beautiful music with Azkal Phil Younghusband. Folks say that Jen, a single mom, is very lucky (pun intended) to have a certified “binata” like Luis. But less optimistic folks are giving them one year. They say that basing on Jen’s track record with her past boyfriends (Mark Herras, Patrick Garcia, Andrei Dionisio and Dennis Trillo), this one also wouldn’t last. Come on, guys, don’t be so harsh, let’s give them a chance.
