Boots Anson Roa Has New Suitors But No Ready To Fall In Love Again

BOOTS ANSON ROA is in two Metro filmfest entries: as Ryan Agoncillo’s mom in “My Househusband: Ikaw Na” and Eugene Domingo’s oppressive mother in law in the “Rain Rain Go Away” episode of “Shake, Ratlle & Roll 13”. Her late husband Pete Roa passed in 2007. How’s it being a widow for four years? “We have to move on and I’m glad busy ako as an actress dahil bukod sa movies na ginagawa ko, I have a regular role as Ingrid in ‘Munting Heredera’,” she says. “Busy rin ako sa an executive in Mowelfund.”
Does she entertain new suitors? “May mga nanliligaw and it feels good to be still given that kind of attention. I’m glad even my sisters in law have given me the go-signal at huwag daw akong mahihiya sa kanila if I found someone new. But as it is, I’m contented with my life kasi kumpleto naman ang buhay ko with my children, my grandchildren. Kumpleto ang support system ko and I like being independent. Kaya kong mag-isa. Pero ayokong magsalita ng patapos. I’m 66, malay mo, may dumating pa na hindi ko mahindian,” she laughs.

In “Munting Heredera” Boots as Ingrid becomes annoying in a court hearing that the fiscal sends her away. Gabby Eigenmann as Desmond blackmails her and asks for money so he won’t reveal the truth that Mona Louise Ray as Jennifer is now with Boots. Jennifer is now very close to Andrea del Rosario as Kate after Andrea’s own son died. Andrea tries to persuade Jennifer not to contact Gloria Romero or Mark Anthony Fernandez any more.
