WHEN JULIAN TRONO started as a host in GMA’7’s Saturday morning kiddie show, “Tropang Potchi” in 2009, he was just 12 years old. He played one of the title roles as Hadji in the primetime telefantasya, “Panday Kids”, and was last seen as Hero, the missing son of Raymart Santiago in “Futbolilits”. He also appeared in “Daisy Siete”, “Zooperstars” and “Kaya ng Powers”.
Now in high school at Roosevelt College in Cubao, he turned 14 on Sept. 16 and is now a teener. We won’t be surprised if GMA would soon rank him no longer as a child actor but as one of their Tween Stars. Meantime, he continues to be a co-host of Sabrina Man, Bianca Umali, Lianne Valentino, Miggy Jimenez and Lenlen Frial in “Tropang Potchi”.
Today, the Potchi house ushers in the Christmas season with them putting Yuletide decorations. Each ka-Potchi brings an item for their Christmas tree decoration. However, the happy morning suddenly turns bad when Julian acts up and tries to be the kuya of the group by meddling with the tasks of his ka-Potchis. Lianne is annoyed with Julian after he tells her what to do with her Christmas décor, her origami creation. Lianne then shares how she learned doing origami with the other kids as they have a quick trip to Japan, China, Korea and discover the culture and arts of these countries. Learn about our neighboring nations and also get Christmas décor ideas from Tropang Potchi today at 8:30AM.
