Cristina Gonzales Plays Host To International Org Up With People

TACLOBAN FIRST LADY Cristina Gonzales hosted dinner for Up with People, a global education organization that aims to bring the world together through service and music. Its director Luis Petzhold from Brazil says they have 100 student performers from 20 countries (25 from the U.S., 10 from Belgium, 10 from Sweden and the rest from other countries). They just did concerts in Puerto Princesa and in Tacloban where Kring Kring and husband Mayor Alfred Romualdez were their hosts. There are reports that Cristina Gonzales will run as Leyte Governor.

They are now in Manila to do their show (which has been staged in 64 countries) tomorrow, Friday, 8PM, at the Marikina City Convention Center as Marikina celebrates its 15th cityhood anniversary. Admission is free but you’re requested to bring a new or used toy to be given as presents to indigent kids this Christmas.

Before the Philippines, they just performed in 8 cities in the U.S. and in Mexico. They also did civic work with Gawad Kalinga and Bukas Palad and will help clean up Manila Bay after their concert. Working with Luis as their international promotions representative is Kelly Perry, a tall beautiful blonde who says those who want to be part of of their cast can visit their Up with People website and Facebook page.

Meantime, Kring Kring remains busy with her Earn and Learn livelihood classes for Taclobanons that have already given jobs to many of their constituents.
