Enrique Gil Turns Down To Be Part Of Cosmo Bash Again, Prefers To Be Wholesome

ENRIQUE GIL was only 16 years old when he was introduced as part of Star Circle Batch 16. “There were about 20 of them newcomers introduced in that batch pero siya lang ang sumikat sa kanila,” a writer points out. “But stardom was not given to him on a silver platter. Pinaghirapan niya ito.”

Born on March 30, 1992 in Cebu City, he played bit roles and was given a good break in the remake of “Mula sa Puso”. He also appeared in the hit remake of “Mara Clara” and was paired with Kathryn Bernardo in the drama movie, “Way Back Home”. He now plays BJ in the primetime soap, “Budoy”. “May pagkakontrabida ako kay Gerald Anderson,” he says. “I was worried viewers might get mad at me, pero hindi naman. When they see me in public, they just say ‘Huwag mo namang apihin si Budoy’. Babait din naman ang character ko sa show later.”

He was a hit when he paraded shirtless in the recent Cosmo Bash so some suggest he should go sexy now. “No, gusto ko namang mag-enjoy muna sa pagiging wholesome,” he says. “They’re offering me to participate again in the next Cosmo affair, pero ayoko na.”
