As a dad, how does he feel about it? “I was right, all you’d ask me about is KC,” he laughs. “Baka magalit si Mother Lily, banggitin nyo naman ang ‘Yesterday Today Tomorrow’. As much as possible, ayoko sana pag-usapan ito. It’s their life. But I’m also hurting. I’m mad at the person who hurt my daughter’s feeling. It’s a normal reaction for a father. When she cried, masakit kasi I taught my daughter how to swim, how to ride a bike, you know, how to do all that. And para paiyakin lang nang ganun... Tingin ko lang, ang mga taong manliligaw sa anak ko, sa umpisa pa lang, dapat tunay na. Hindi tayo dapat magpakita ng sinasabi nila na ‘best foot forward.’ It really boils down to intention. Ano ba naman yung sabihin mo, ‘Sir, I have the best intentions for your daughter.’”
Does he believe that Piolo is gay? “Marami akong tsismis na naririnig… sa internet, sa mga taong may kredibi¬lidad. Hindi ko alam kung anong paniniwalaan ko. Basta’t marami akong naririnig.” Any message for Piolo? “None, wala akong message for him.” For KC? “We’re supposed to see each other. Marami raw siya ikukuwento sa’kin. We’ll just talk.”
