Iza Calzado Annoyed That Marian Rivera Is Bong Revilla's Love Interest In Panday 2 And Not Her?

IZA CALZADO came late to the lunch presscon of “Ang Panday 2”. Some writers said it’s because she feels bad that Marian Rivera’s role is longer than hers in the film. “Naku, huwag nyo na kaming intrigahin ni Marian,” she laughs. “Late ako because I still came from my hosting job in ‘Eat Bulaga’. At least, humabol pa ako. When I read the script, it’s been clear to me na mas mahaba talaga ang role dito ni Marian. But I don’t mind kasi I just reprise my role here as Maria Makiling, so clear na my character takes a back seat kaya wala akong ilusyon na ako leading lady rito at pantay ang roles namin ni Marian. Basta I’m just here to work and do my job, which is to act. Yung character ko is constant in the series kaya kasama pa rin ako sa ‘Ang Panday 3’.”

She broke up with her boyfriend, then lost her dad. It’ll be a sad Christmas for her. “I can say ‘E, ano ngayon kung wala akong boyfriend’ but I can’t say na ‘Ano ngayon kung wala na kong magulang.’ You mourn for your lost parent but yung boyfriend, marami naman akong ibang kaibigan na makakapagpasaya sa’kin, so okay lang. Isa pa, busy ako this Christmas promoting ’Panday 2’ at sasama ko sa Parade of Stars, so no time to feel sad and lonely. And given the chance, gusto ko sana to travel some more. Hindi naman ako mahilig sa material things.”

Isabelle Daza is now also a co-host in ‘Eat Bulaga’. Is it true other regular hosts like her, Pauleen Luna and Julia Clarete got insecure with Isabelle’s entrance? “Ano ba yan? The more the merrier kaya walang nai-insecure sa’min. Magkakasama kami sa dressing room.”
